Come See Outstanding Theater @ the Strand

The Strand Theatre, built in 1925, is the Official State Theatre of Louisiana and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Recognized nationally first by USA Weekend and the AMC Magazine as one of the top 5 glitziest theatres for live performance anywhere in the country, this restored historic theatre continues to be the home of the best, highest-quality entertainment throughout the decades including top touring Broadway productions, concerts, and comedy shows.

Although tours of the building are not currently available, the exterior of this former opera house and movie theatre can be seen from Crockett and Louisiana Ave. Or better, attend one of the Season Performances where all the seats are good seats, and see the breathtaking interior along with a show.
